On the Chargers first possession, running back Cesar Belmontes broke loose for a 51-yard touchdown to put Brownsville Veterans up 7-3 in the first quarter with 9:22 left. It was the only score the Chargers needed for the night as the defense took over. Belmontes led all rushers with 122 yards on 12 carries.
